Full of vitamins like Vitamin A, B6 and C… watermelon is also packed with lycopene and amino acids for healthy skin, and a healthy immune system. It also contains arginine (an amino acid), which is essential in our bodies and helps with blood circulation in the scalp. And it’s full of L-citrulline, an amino acid that helps improve blood flow. Like Viagra, L-citrulline increases blood flow to the sexual organs but without any negative side effects.
Cherries are a good source of fiber, vitamins and minerals – including potassium, calcium, vitamin A and folic acid. They are also well known for their antioxidant properties. Tart cherries are one of the few natural sources of melatonin, which is responsible for the regulation of the body’s internal clock and sleep-wake cycle. Researchers believe it’s the combination of melatonin and the anthocyanins in tart cherries that might help you sleep better at night.
Ginger is among the healthiest (and most delicious) spices on the planet. It is loaded with nutrients and compounds that have powerful benefits for your body and brain. Gingerol is the main bio-active compound in ginger, responsible for much of its medicinal properties. It has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. It has been shown to be effective against exercise-induced muscle pain, and may even have powerful anti-diabetic properties.
As a rich source of vitamin C, lemon juice protects the body from immune system deficiencies. Drinking lemon juice with warm water every morning helps in maintaining the pH balance of the body. Along with vitamin C, lemons are also a rich source of potassium, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium.
